Cómo hacer wok de pollo con verduras. El wok es una sartén honda que permite cocinar los alimentos en su propio jugo, por lo que no es necesario añadir mucho aceite, de hecho en este tipo de «sartenes» se puede cocinar sin aceite, lo que es perfecto para elaborar recetas saludables sin apenas grasas. Este tipo de platos se suele servir con arroz blanco, arroz con curry o arroz frito con huevo y beicon.
El origen de este utensilio no está muy claro, se tiene la creencia de que tiene origen en china, India o el sudeste asiático, ya que en estos lugares es muy común cocinar en ellos. Dada la versatilidad del wok, en él podemos hacer distintos tipos de cocción como por ejemplo freír, hervir, cocinar al vapor o hacer sopas y guisos, pero su verdadera especialidad son los salteados.
Ingredientes para 4 personas
- 2 pechugas de pollo
- 2 calabacines
- 2 zanahorias
- 4 cucharadas de salsa de soja
- 1 cucharada de aceite de oliva
- 1 pimiento amarillo
- 1 pimiento rojo
- 50gr de cebolleta
- sal
- pimienta negra recién molida
Wok de pollo elaboración
- Para comenzar cortamos el pollo en trozos de igual tamaño.
- Después lo salpimentamos. y reservamos.
- Seguimos cortando las verduras en juliana.
- Continuamos poniendo un poco de aceite en nuestro wok y lo ponemos a fuego vivo.
- Cuando el wok esté caliente marcamos el pollo asegurándonos de que quede bien sellado.
- A continuación añadimos las verduras cortadas y Cocinamos durante más o menos cinco minutos moviendo de vez en cuando.
- Añadimos la salsa de soja y lo cocinamos todo junto, removiendo con frecuencia para evitar que se nos queme durante un minuto más. Es muy importante no cocinar demasiado, ya que queremos que las verduras queden «al dente».
El secreto de un buen wok de pollo con verduras, está en el corte de la verdura, estas deben tener todas el mismo tamaño para que se cocinen por igual y queden todas en el mismo punto. Si no tienes un wok puedes preparar esta receta en una sartén, pero es muy importante que esta sea anti-adherente y un poco más honda de lo habitual.
