Pollo asado con sidra. Generalmente hacer pollo asado es algo muy sencillo, lo que ocurre es que lleva un tiempo y por eso hay quien prefiere comprarlo directamente resto para comer. Pero sin duda esto tiene un precio y es que el pollo asado hecho en casa está mucho más rico que el podemos comprar ya asado. Con la ventaja añadida de que podemos ponerle las especias que más nos gusten y darle así nuestro toque personal
Aunque nosotros hemos hecho este pollo con sidra natural, si lo preferís podéis hacerlo con vino blanco. Aunque si cambiáis la sidra por vino os recomendamos también sustituir la manzana por limón y untaremos en pollo con aceite y jugo de limón.
ingredientes para 4 personas
- 1 pollo de un kilo
- 1 manzana no muy grande
- 100cc de aceite de oliva
- 100cc de sidra natural
- pimienta negra
- aceite de oliva
- tomillo
- Sal

- Salpimentamos el pollo limpio, por dentro y por fuera. Frotamos bien la piel con aceite de oliva y tomillo. Ponemos dentro la manzana. Atamos los muslos del pollo por el fina y hacemos lo mismo con las alas para que mantenga su forma original.
- Lo ponemos en una fuente apta para horno, aunque también podemos ponerlo pinchado en un botellín de cerveza para ponerlo de pie en el horno, pero este que veis está elaborado en una fuente de horno.
- Con el horno previamente calentado a 200 grados centígrados y horneamos 30 minutos. Transcurrido ese tiempo le damos la vuelta y añadimos la sidra. Bajamos la temperatura a 180 grados y horneamos el pollo durante más o menos 1 hora.
- De vez en cuando lo sacamos lo vamos y «remojalo» con su propio jugo de cocción. Transcurrido ese tiempo y siempre que el pollo esté dorado tenemos un rico pollo asado con sidra. Trinchar el pollo y lo servimos acompañado de la salsa y unas patatas asadas o fritas.
