Aprende cómo hacer empanada de jamón y queso. Cuando veais la masa de esta empanada os encantará. Se hace en muy pocos minutos y se puede elaborar con cualquier utensilio que tengáis a mano, ya que es una masa que queda bastante líquida y no es nada complicada de trabajar. Y cuando digo cualquier utensilio, puede ser desde una varilla de mano, una jarra americana, unas varillas eléctricas, etc.. ya veis que no hay excusa para no ponerla en práctica. Tan solo se trata de mezclar los ingredientes por lo que el nivel de dificultad es cero y además con 4 cositas muy sencillas que seguro que tenéis en casa.
Esta es una de esas empanadas de jamón y queso que gusta a toda la familia y desaparece en cuanto la llevas a la mesa. Puede tomarse en el desayuno, es ideal si tenemos invitados y queremos servir un aperitivo original, también es perfecta para una merienda y si la acompañamos de una ensalada tenemos una cena rápida estupenda. Ya veis que esta empanada sirve para comer algo rico en cualquier momento del dia. Aunque puede tomarse fría o templada, la mejor forma de comerla es caliente, ya que está mucho más rica recién salida del horno.
Ingredientes para 4 personas
- 120ml de leche
- 3 huevos talla M
- 100g de nata para cocinar
- 50g de queso parmesano rallado
- 30g de mantequilla fundida
- 3g de sal
- 10g de levadura química o polvos de hornear
- 120g de harina de trigo
- 1 cucharadita de cebolla en polvo
- 1/2 cucharadita de pimienta recién molida
- 1 cucharadita de ajo granulado
- 8 lonchas de jamón york
- 4 lonchas de queso gouda
- 100g de mozzarella rallada
- aceite vegetal para engrasar el molde + un poco de harina
Cómo elaborar la empanada de jamón y queso
- Como vamos a tardar muy poco en tener hecha la masa para nuestra empanada, antes de comenzar con la elaboración pondremos el horno a precalentar a 200º centígrados. De este modo cuando terminemos de hacer la masa tendremos el horno preparado.
- Para comenzar con la elaboración de la empanada de jamón y queso lo primero que debemos hacer es poner en un bol todos los ingredientes líquidos (la nata, la leche, los huevos, la mantequilla) las especias y la sal. Después batiremos hasta que todos los ingredientes queden bien integrados.
- A continuación vamos a agregar los ingredientes sólidos (el queso parmesano rallado, la harina y la levadura química). De nuevo batimos hasta obtener una mezcla ligeramente espesa y sin grumos.
- Ahora vamos a engrasar el molde. Para ello pintaremos con aceite vegetal todas las paredes del molde, asegurándonos de engrasar especialmente bien las esquinas del mismo. Después vamos a espolvorear un poco de harina con ayuda de un colador, para evitar acomulaciones. De este modo nuestra empanada de jamón será muy sencilla de desmoldar.
- Seguiremos volcando la mitad de la masa en el molde. Os aconsejo que paseis la masa y la dividáis en dos partes. De este modo nos aseguramos de tener exactamente la misma cantidad de masa para la parte de encima que para la base.
- Sobre la primera capa de masa vamos a poner 4 lonchas de jamón york, sobre estas pondremos 4 lonchas de queso y nuevamente taparemos con cuatro lonchas más de jamón. No lleguéis al extremo de la masa. Es importante dejar un centímetro sin cubrir con el queso y el jamón, para que la empanada quede perfectamente sellada al hornear.
- Después vertemos el resto de la masa sobre el jamón. Si quedara algún hueco lo tapamos con ayuda de una lengua de cocina. Terminamos cubriendo la base de la empanada con la mozzarella rallada.
- Tan solo nos queda hornear. Para ello la pondremos en el horno a media altura, con calor abajo y horneamos a 200º centígrados durante 25 minutos. Después de este tiempo gratinamos durante 5 minutos a la misma temperatura.
- Transcurrido este tiempo sacamos la empanada de jamón y queso del horno y ya la tenemos lista.
Consejo
Para la elaboración de esta empanada de jamón yo he usado un molde de 20×20, no os recomiendo usar uno mas grande ya que la cantidad de masa que sale es bastante justa. Si queréis usar un molde de mayor tamaño os recomiendo doblar las cantidades.
