Aromatizar azúcar. Aromatizar azúcar es una manera muy sencilla de dar nuestro toque personal a las elaboraciones de repostería que hacemos en casa. Del mismo modo que os enseñamos a hacer aceite picante o aromatizado, hoy vamos a ver como aromatizar azúcar de un modo sencillo y sin tener que pagar más por ella comprándola en lugares especializados o supermercados.
Quizás uno de los azucares aromatizados más comunes sea el azúcar avainillado, seguro que alguna vez lo habéis leído o probado en alguna receta. El problema de este tipo de azúcar es que suelen tener una relación calidad precio un tanto elevada, y siempre es mucho más interesante poderlos hacer en casa y tenerlos siempre listo para usar cuando queramos sin salir a comprarlo.
Además este azúcar no se usa solo para repostería, también podemos dar a nuestras bebidas un toque distinto, imagina un café con sabor a vainilla, canela o con un toque de naranja. Tus invitados quedarán gratamente sorprendidos te lo garantizo.
¿Cómo aromatizar azúcar?
Para aromatizar azúcar con cítricos debemos lavar bien el cítrico en cuestión. Lo ideal sería tener un cepillo(de los que usamos para las uñas) que solo se use para esto. Hay que tener en cuenta que en la piel de las frutas pueden quedar restos de insecticidas y conviene asegurarse de eliminarlos por completo.
Cuando tengamos la piel del cítrico bien limpia, las rayamos evitando la parte blanca, de lo contrario amargaría. Luego lo mezclamos con el azúcar que queramos aromatizar en un bol y ya quedaría listo.
Aromatizar azúcar con vainilla es mucho más sencillo. Tan solo debemos abrir la vaina por el centro y ponerla con el azúcar en un tarro de cierre hermético y dejarla durante al menos una semana. Lógicamente, cuanto más tiempo esté la vainilla con el azúcar mucho más intenso será su aroma y sabor. Esta misma formula la podemos usar con canela. Una vez que la vainilla o la canela cumplan su cometido podemos usarla normalmente(reutilizarla) para nuestras elaboraciones de repostería.
