Cómo hacer baklava. Este dulce también es conocido como baklawa o baclava. Para aquellos que no conocéis esta receta debéis saber que, es un postre de origen turco. Cómo muchos de los postres típicos de oriente medio, el baklava se elabora a base de frutos secos y miel, una combinación ganadora de inconfundible carácter árabe. El secreto de este dulce turco es servirlo en pequeñas porciones, ya que es bastante potente de sabor y por lo tanto muy contundente, por lo que no conviene abusar de raciones exageradas. Con lo cual, aunque es una receta laboriosa y algo entretenida, el resultado merece la pena ya que cunde mucho y podemos sacar multitud de raciones en una sola hornada.
Si estáis pensando en ofrecer a vuestros invitados un auténtico menú inspirado en oriente medio u oriente próximo, podéis comenzar sirviendo un delicioso hummus de garbanzos acompañado de unos crudités de verduras, con pan de pita casero. Y como plato fuerte podéis sorprender con una deliciosa pastela de pollo, acompañada de una ensalada de pepino, tomate, cebolla picada y aderezada con limón, comino y aceite de oliva. Para terminar y como no podía ser de otra manera, te recomiendo esta receta de baklava. Sin duda un menú ganador para quedar como el mejor de los anfitriones.
Ingredientes
- 250g de pasta filo
- 1 taza y media de agua
- mantequilla
- 150g de azúcar
- 350g de frutos secos troceados (pistachos y nueces)
- 200g de miel
- 1 rama de canela
Baklava elaboración
- Precalentamos el horno a 180ºC.
- Mientras picamos los frutos secos.
- Continuamos derritiendo la mantequilla en un cazo, reservando un poco para engrasar el molde.
- Ahora ponemos en el molde tres o cuatro láminas de pasta filo y espolvoreamos con parte de los frutos secos picados.
- Cubrimos con otras dos láminas de pasta filo y pintamos con la mantequilla derretida.
- Repetiremos la operación anterior de la masa, nueces y mantequilla hasta conseguir varias capas. Recordar que la última capa debe ser de masa filo.
- Cortamos la masa en en cuadrados o triángulos, como prefieras.
- Es el momento de Incorporar la mantequilla sobrante de manera que quede encima de la masa filo.
- Llevamos al horno y cocinamos durante 45 minutos o hasta que la masa esté dorada.
- Mientras ponemos un cazo a hervir con el agua, canela y azúcar y cocinamos a fuego lento durante unos 10 minutos.
- Transcurrido este tiempo Incorporamos la miel y dejamos otros 2 minutos a fuego lento hasta formar un almíbar.
- Sacamos la baklava del horno y regamos con el almíbar, una vez retirada la canela.
- La dejamos enfriar y ya la podemos servir.
