Hoy vamos a preparar un sencillo y aromático arroz al curry, es una receta fácil de elaborar que resulta ideal para servir como guarnición, pero que también puede ser un estupendo plato único. Hay muchas variantes de esta receta, se puede preparar con verduras, con otras legumbres como garbanzos o lentejas o como en este caso con frutos secos.
Par hacer esta receta de arroz se necesitan muy pocos ingredientes y seguramente dispondrás de todos, ya que son muy sencillo y seguro que algunos de ellos forman parte de vuestro fondo de despensa, lo unico mas complicado es el curry, pero si os gustan las recetas con cierto toque exótico seguro que forma parte de vuestro especiero.
Sin duda este uno de nuestros platos favoritos para acompañar recetas de pollo con salsa. La combinación del arroz con curry, los frutos secos, las pasas… Todo ello hacen que este arroz se convierta en una de esas recetas de las que nunca te cansas de repetir. Y es que esta especia tan rica le da un sabor único a cualquier plato. Puedes servirlo con un pollo korma y tendrás una deliciosa comida hindú.
Ingredientes para 4 personas
- 120g arroz basmati por persona
- 1 puñado de pasas
- 2 Cucharadas (de las de café) de curry
- 1 cebolla picada
- 2 Dientes de ajo
- 6 Cucharadas (de las de café) coco rallado
- 2 Cucharadas (de las de café) cominos
- 70gr de puñado de piñones
- 100gr almendras fileteadas o cualquier otro fruto seco
- Medio tomate
- Un poco de perejil
- 1 Pastilla de caldo de carne o ave
- Sal
Arroz con curry elaboración
- En una olla sofreímos los ajos bien picados, cuando estén dorados ponemos el arroz y removemos para integrar todos los ingredientes.
- Mientras en otra olla ponemos agua a calentar con una pastilla de caldo de carne o ave y la llevamos a ebullición.
- Cuando el arroz esté doradito añadimos el agua de la olla, es muy importante que el agua esté hirviendo. Ponemos medio tomate y un poco de perejil picado. Lo hacemos entre 8 y 10 minutos o el tiempo que indique el fabricante. Una vez el arroz esté en su punto, lo escurrimos y reservamos.
- En una sartén con un poco de aceite pochamos la cebolla muy picadita, añadimos las pasas y los piñones y no dejamos de mover para que no se nos queme nada.
- Agregamos una avellanas picadas y el arroz, por último pondremos el curry y el comino al gusto, lo haremos durante unos 3 o 4 minutos. Añadimos el coco, damos unas vueltas para mezclarlo todo bien. Y ya tenemos listo un delicioso arroz con curry.
